Was your farm damaged in the recent floods?

Flood-affected farmers in Cumbria, Lancashire and Northumberland who have suffered uninsurable losses can apply for Farming Recovery Fund grants of up to £20,000 via the Rural Payments Agency to help restore soils, rebuild tracks and repair flood channels.

Grants are available to any farm which was trading on 1 December 2015 and depends upon farming to provide a significant contribution to the household income.

Farmers affected by flooding will be able to claim grants of between £500 and £20,000.  The money will go towards the costs of restoring their agricultural land to the state it was in before the flooding took place.  As part of their application, farmers must explain which activities they want funding for and how much the activities will cost.
