Protect Your Charity from Fraud

In our latest Charity video Tracey Johnson, Partner and Nicola Mason, Corporate Senior Manager discuss the new document issued by the Charity Commission Fraud Advisory panel.

The new document aims to help charities in their battle against fraud within the sector. The document gives trustees some helpful advice in terms of how to prevent, investigate and deal with any fraud that may be uncovered.

Our video discusses the advice the document offers which may help volunteers and staff who find themselves in the position where they need to report fraud.

There are three main principles to follow when reporting fraud

1. Act immediately to mitigate the impact of the fraud

2. Involve law enforcement

3. Have a policy in place to tell staff and volunteers how they should be dealing with the fraud.
