What is MHA Moore and Smalley Growth+
Growth+ is a business decision support tool provided by MHA Moore and Smalley in conjunction with Mindshop. A variety of workshops have been created to identify, clarify, focus and act upon ways to successfully grow a business. The Growth+ sessions aim to facilitate rather than consult and are bespoke for each business.
Growth+ allows you to step outside of the business and take a ‘helicopter view’. The sessions focus on the future and are intellectually stimulating for the owners, managers and the wider team. Growth+ highlights priorities, provides solutions and forces responsibility, with the support of MHA Moore and Smalley there to assist in the implementation of any actions agreed in the sessions.
Damian Walmsley, Partner and Corporate Finance Director, Stephen Gregson have created a series of short videos which give an overview of MHA Moore and Smalley’s Growth+ service, and how we can help you to grow your business.

Our service can help you to spend time working ‘on’ the business as opposed to just ‘in’ it, as well as helping you identify the key areas that could be improved in order to grow.
Part 2 focuses on getting you engaged and thinking about the strategic process of your business. This can be done by focusing on where your business is now, where you want your business to be, and finally, how your business is going to get there.
The GPS system is one of the key tools used within Growth+ sessions which helps you to identify issues within their business. We can pinpoint where the current issues are and what the top areas of concern may be within your business.
This video focuses on the seven wastes that may occur when trying to grow your business, focusing on maximising profitability and improving efficiencies. We identify where ‘waste’ might occur, including within the production stages, within the transportation, your costs, your inventory, inappropriate processing, mistakes and finally over production.
The Business Growth Model focuses on the question, what can you do to grow your business in terms of increasing the sales to existing customers and increasing the size of your customer base? It is split in to four different sections:
– market penetration,
– market expansion,
– service/product expansion, and,
The one page plan is dynamic, useable and used to help drive performance in the business. It focuses on two key areas:
1.identifying where the business is now, and,
2.visioning where you want the business to be.
This is used to then develop a strategy which looks at where your business is now, secondly where you want your business to be and thirdly, how to get there.
