Survey launched to drive motor industry forward

Moore and Smalley has launched a national survey to find out more about the state of the UK car retail industry.

The firm is working with other members of MHA, a national association of independent accountancy firms, to garner the views of motor dealers across the UK.

Data from the survey will be used to identify trends, opportunities and threats for motor dealers and look at other ways for Moore and Smalley and MHA to support businesses in the motor industry.

Ginni Cooper, a director at Moore and Smalley, said: “As specialist advisers to the sector, we want to understand the major issues and challenges that car dealerships face. Doing this allows Moore and Smalley and our MHA members to tailor our support for businesses in the sector.

“The survey results will be examined alongside data we’re already gathering from finance providers and car manufacturers to build up a detailed picture of the UK motor industry.”

The Moore and Smalley Motor Dealer Survey 2017/18 will be the second time the firm has surveyed the industry. The 2016 survey looked at issues like profitability, sales and marketing, and growth opportunities.
