Southport RFC can count on firm’s support

Local accountancy firm MHA Moore and Smalley has signed up to become a sponsor of Southport Rugby Club.

The deal sees the firm, based at Hoghton Chambers in Hoghton Street, become a pitch side sponsor for the season and it will also sponsor an upcoming fixture.

Danny Houghton, partner at MHA Moore and Smalley, said: “The firm has a long tradition of backing local grass roots sport and it is an absolute pleasure to be lending our support to Southport Rugby Club.

“Like us, the club has a long and illustrious history. Along with many other local sponsors we want it to have a bright future too. This sponsorship deal allows us, in alignment with our values, to give something back to the community.”

Steve Olive, chairman of Southport Rugby Club, said: “We’re delighted that MHA Moore and Smalley has joined our family of club sponsors. The support of our sponsors is vital to the sustainability of the club and it is great to attract such a well-regarded local firm.”

MHA Moore and Smalley enjoys a strong association with sport in the North West, including its longstanding sponsorship of the Palace Shield cricket league in Lancashire.

The firm specialises in accountancy, business advisory and wealth management. It advises a wide variety of business owners and individuals from across the region.
