Proactive accountants make a £6k donation to local hospice
Moore and Smalley, Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors have made a sizeable £6,000 donation to a local Southport based hospice.
Queenscourt Hospice provides support for the people of Southport, Formby and West Lancashire, caring for patients with serious illnesses ensuring they receive the best possible care and quality of life. Over three-quarters of the charity’s income is dependent on charitable donations which allow them to remain up and running and continue the fantastic work they do.
Moore and Smalley’s Southport staff have taken part in a variety of fundraising events, both as an office and individually which has allowed them to make such a substantial donation.
Danny Houghton, Partner at Moore and Smalley, said ‘’ Putting something back is one of Moore and Smalley’s core values and an opportunity arose for us to collectively make a difference to our local community, and support a charity close to our heart. We’re proud to be able to support such a valuable community cause and proud of everybody involved in raising such a transformational sum of money for a hospice reliant on donations. ’’
In the last 18 months, Moore and Smalley have in total raised an incredible £65,000 making a considerable difference to local charities across the region.
