North West Accountants and Business Advisors are Cyber Essentials certified
MHA Moore and Smalley have become another successful company that have been awarded the Cyber Essentials certification.
Developed by the UK Government and industry, The Cyber Essentials scheme has been established to provide a clear statement of the basic controls that should be implemented by all organisations to mitigate the risks from cyber threats. These cover internet security, device security, access controls, anti-virus, and software updating, and is now backed by the National Cyber Security Centre. The NCSC’s aim is to make the UK the safest place to do business online.
Operations Director Dave said “We have been actively defending our network from the bad guys since we got hit in the early (modem) days of the internet and we take a very proactive approach to our cyber defences. The Cyber Essentials scheme forces you to look at a whole range of topic areas, and we found that we’d missed a few and had to fix them. All internet-connected firms should consider this scheme. That’s just about everybody”
MHA Moore and Smalley aim to take this to the next level and achieve the Cyber Essentials Plus certification within the next 12 months.
