Moore and Smalley expands corporate finance team
Moore and Smalley has strengthened its corporate finance team following a period of increased M&A activity for the firm.
Nicola Farrer has joined the now six-strong team as corporate finance assistants following a year in which the firm advised on corporate deals worth around £15.6m and raised £7.65m in additional funding for clients.
Standout deals the firm has advised on in the last 12-months include the acquisition of Formby Connections and Levine Retail by Mid Communications Ltd, the acquisition of Trentclyde Water Solutions by Stuart Turner Ltd, and the purchase of Stonegate Group by Gott Agri Synergy.
Stephen Gregson, corporate finance director at Preston-headquartered Moore and Smalley, said: “There has been uncertainty in the economy, but 2016 turned out to be a busy year for us in terms of corporate transactions and for growth fundraising and company restructuring projects.

Nicola joins Moore and Smalley from Hayleys accountants, Nicola joins corporate finance director Stephen Gregson, partner Jon Pinder, and corporate finance managers Paul Bennett and Ian Waddingham in the corporate finance team.
