Accountants bring festive cheer to families in Southport

North West accountancy and business advisory firm, MHA Moore and Smalley, has donated and distributed 100 Christmas selection boxes for Southport charity Homestart.

Homestart is a voluntary organisation committed to promoting the welfare of families with at least one child under 5 years of age.  Homestart Southport & Formby began in 2001 and is now one of over 340 schemes in the UK. Volunteers offer regular support, friendship and practical help to families under stress in their own homes to help prevent family crisis and breakdown.

Annie Ives, Manager of Homestart said: “It’s lovely to have this generous contribution and to be able to share some seasonal treats and a bit of Christmas cheer at this time. A heartfelt thanks from all of us at Homestart goes to the team at MHA Moore and Smalley in Southport.”

Keith Porter, Southport based partner at MHA Moore and Smalley said: “MHA Moore and Smalley is committed to putting something back via our Purpose Projects. Our local team generously supported this initiative by purchasing the boxes and my colleague Andy Webster and I delivered them. Homestart does a wonderful job in helping families in our local community and we were delighted to do our little bit.”

Andy added: “ We hope our donation helped brighten up someone’s day during these challenging times.”
