What the event will cover:

The Rise of ESG: Is this the defining moment for business sustainability and growth?

Since the COVID 19 pandemic, Environment, Social and Governance has become an even more important subject.  Every business, is deeply intertwined with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) concerns. It makes sense, therefore, that a strong ESG proposition can create value, but where do you start?  Is this a modern day panacea or a trendy movement that will fade out in time?  Our two keynote speakers will brief you on all aspects of ESG.

Finally, we will end with a Q&A session where attendees will have an opportunity to direct their questions to our panel.

Our keynote speakers and what they will discuss:

Rich Hall, Head of Sustainability, Corporate Responsibility & Climate Change, MHA

During the course of his presentation Rich will cover why you need to look at it now, the regulatory requirements and ESG from an audit perspective.  He will set out the key issues that are currently present and will discuss how these matters are impacting business and creating supply chain pressures.

Alana McPhee – Sustainable Product Group at Barclays Corporate Banking

Alana will give an overview of what Barclays is doing to help businesses.  She will explain how to get started on your ESG strategy, whether that is a regional or national one, how to communicate that strategy and drive it forward with purpose.  She will also talk through what a Net Zero North West means for the region.
