Entering the workplace for the first time can be a daunting prospect. We have a long history of successfully growing our own people and every year we welcome groups of new students to the firm. As a new recruit, you will have a personalised induction plan to help you quickly find your feet with the assistance of a workplace buddy. We aim to quickly introduce you to our systems, policies and procedures so that you fit into your team and can start working on real assignments under supervision.
You will benefit from fully funded exam support for the AAT qualification with time for training both on and off the job. With the support of a student mentor you will progress through our student development framework to achieve a professional accountancy qualification whilst earning a salary.
Every year we recruit high achievers into our graduate stream to study for either the ACA or CII qualification. The diversity of our client base ensures a rich variety of experience in training and we have an excellent track record of producing well rounded, commercially minded qualified professionals who will ultimately take on a client portfolio of their own.
Whichever route you choose, you will benefit from a structured 3 year development programme which blends professional exam training with on the job learning and practical skills development. Supported by a student manager, you will have the opportunity to work on special projects in addition to regular compliance work.
Our graduate training programme has an excellent reputation for providing a broad base of skills with real value in the commercial marketplace. Whilst the programme is stimulating and demanding, it is also designed to give you responsibility for your own career at an early stage.
The Moore and Smalley internship programme is a 12-month programme intended for students who need to complete an internship as part of their degree. The programme will give you the opportunity to gain hands on professional experience as well as a unique insight into working life at Moore and Smalley and a good grounding into what it takes to be a successful business advisor.
You will receive a full induction to Moore and Smalley, and very quickly be up and running, working alongside our graduate trainees and experienced professionals in our audit and accounts team, contributing to work for a wide variety of clients.
You will benefit from first class training and be supported every step of the way, enabling you to grow in confidence, develop your skills, build relationships and make an early impact to the Firm.
If you impress us during your internship – and you like us, there’s a good chance you’ll be invited for an interview for a place on our graduate programme.
Internships will commence during the summer between July to September and continue for 12 months on a fixed term contract that is suited to your sandwich course.
We are always keen to welcome technically excellent and qualified professionals into our work family.
